Turn 1 in 3 returns
into a sale you keep.
Loopkit gives Shopify apparel brands an exchange-first returns portal. It defaults shoppers toward a swap or store credit — and captures the margin a standard refund label would have lost.

The exchange option comes first — not buried after the refund flow.
Built for Shopify merchants
Live in an afternoon.
ROI visible by week one.
- 1
Install from the Shopify App Store
One click to install. Your exchange portal is live within minutes, branded with your store's colors and domain — no dev work needed.
- 2
Configure your exchange rules
Set size-swap logic, store credit incentive amounts, refund windows, and SKU exclusions. The defaults work out of the box for most apparel brands.
- 3
Watch refunds become revenue
Shoppers who would have returned see exchange options first. The margin analytics dashboard shows exactly how much revenue you recovered each week.
Built for apparel.
Not just "returns software."
Exchange-first defaults
The portal puts the exchange option before the refund button — not buried in a third step. Most apparel returns are sizing issues; showing the swap first converts 34% of return requests into kept sales.
Apparel-smart size-swap logic
Loopkit understands variant relationships. S→M isn't just a different SKU — it's the same garment in the right size. The recommendation engine knows this, and it surfaces the correct swap without a shopper having to search.
Margin analytics that close the loop
See exactly how much revenue you recovered from returns each week. Track which SKUs drive size swaps versus true returns. Export to the spreadsheet your CFO already uses.

Apparel brands see 20–30% return rates every month. Loopkit turns 1 in 3 of those returns into a kept sale — automatically.

Built for apparel verticals
where fit is the product.
Loopkit is purpose-built for Shopify brands where the size exchange is the obvious fix — not a workaround. If your customers return because of fit, we're the tool for you.
Activewear & Athleisure
Size inconsistency across performance fits. High SKU depth with color/length variants. Shoppers size up for comfort — exchange-first keeps the sale.
Running tights, sports bras, training sets
Footwear
Half-size fit issues are endemic. Customers rarely return for a refund when the right size is a click away. Loopkit surfaces it automatically.
Sneakers, boots, sandals — DTC & wholesale
DTC Fashion
High-AOV brands feel returns the most in margin. Loopkit's analytics surface which styles drive size confusion so you can fix the size guide, not just the return.
Contemporary womenswear, menswear, elevated basics
Outdoor & Technical Apparel
Complex size charts and layering systems mean shoppers second-guess themselves. A smart exchange path reduces the cost of that uncertainty.
Jackets, baselayers, waterproof gear
Children's & Baby
Age ranges vary by brand. Parents order one size and need the next — a friction-free exchange keeps the parent and the brand relationship intact.
Kids apparel, sleepwear, school uniform brands
Intimates & Swimwear
Fit is extremely size-sensitive and return rates top 40%. Converting 32% of those returns to exchanges is material margin recovery.
Bras, swimsuits, shapewear — DTC-first brands
Numbers merchants sent us.
Not numbers we made up.
"We converted 38% of returns into exchanges last month. At our volume that's roughly $14k in revenue we'd have refunded outright. Loopkit paid for itself in the first week."
Sam T. — Head of E-Commerce, Archer Outfitters"Setup took our ops manager an afternoon. The exchange defaults worked out of the box — she barely had to touch the rules engine. We were live before end of day."
Maya C. — COO, Dune Apparel"Our return rate was 31%. Loopkit got us to 18% net-refund rate in 60 days. The analytics show exactly which SKUs are driving size swaps versus true returns."
Jordan W. — Founder, Saltworks Co."We tried Loop Returns. Switched to Loopkit because the size-swap logic actually understands apparel — it's not just matching a different SKU, it knows the same garment in the right size."
Priya K. — Operations Lead, Folded & Pressed"The credit nudge is the standout feature. Shoppers choose store credit 2:1 over refunds when you present it correctly. Loopkit's incentive design is built on actual behavioral data."
Alex M. — VP Commerce, Strand Supply Co.

Common questions
How is Loopkit different from Loop Returns or AfterShip?
Loop Returns is the market leader for enterprise Shopify Plus brands — it's excellent but priced to match (starts ~$155/mo plus per-return fees that add up fast at volume). Loopkit is purpose-built for mid-market apparel brands doing $2M–$50M GMV: exchange-first defaults, apparel-specific size-swap logic, and simpler pricing that doesn't punish you for growth. AfterShip and ReturnGO are broader returns platforms — they handle returns for any category, which means their size-swap logic isn't apparel-specific.
Does Loopkit replace my current returns process entirely?
Yes. Loopkit is the complete self-serve portal your shoppers land on when they initiate a return. It generates the label, handles the exchange selection, issues store credit, and logs everything — your ops team stops processing returns manually.
What happens to returns that genuinely need a refund?
Loopkit processes those too. Exchange-first means the portal presents exchange options prominently before the refund path — it doesn't block refunds. Damaged goods, out-of-stock sizes, and policy-based exceptions flow to a standard refund. The analytics tell you exactly how many went each way.
How long does setup take?
Most merchants are live within an afternoon. Install from the Shopify App Store, run the five-minute onboarding wizard to set your return window and exchange rules, and you're done. If you want to customize the portal branding or tune the credit nudge amounts, plan an hour.
Is my store data safe?
Loopkit requests only the Shopify permissions it needs to process returns: read orders, write order updates, and send emails. We don't store payment data. The platform is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes — 14 days free on any plan, no credit card required to start. If you're applying as a design-partner merchant, you'll also get extended trial access and direct roadmap input in exchange for a case study.
